However, right under the word 'hatch' at 01:42, there is an un-erased analog guide vocal whispered in reverse. When you decimate the vocal stem down by 14.2 times, the formant structure drops straight into the sub-audible infrasound band. Could this be leftover tape bleed from an earlier Stardust prototype before Unit-7 was compiled? -- Ji-woo Robertson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of RWTH Aachen Informatik. ------------------------------------------------------------ From lsuzuki@clari.net Mon Jul 17 17:37:42 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!clari!lsuzuki From: lsuzuki@clari.net (Lisa Suzuki) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: Data: The 14.2x slowdown voice on 'Memory Hatch' - myth vs reality Message-ID: <1995Jul17.173742.7299@clari.net> Date: Mon, 17 Jul 1995 17:37:42 GMT References: <1995Jul17.120742.4551@rwth-aachen.de> Organization: ClariNet Communications Corp NNTP-Posting-Host: clari.net X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 8 In article <1995Jul17.120742.4551@rwth-aachen.de>, jrobertson@rwth-aachen.de (Ji-woo Robertson) writes: > There's an urban legend that if you slow down 'Memory Hatch' by exactly 14.2x on a sound card, you can hear a second voice. Listen to the lyric: 'The hatch is open, let the echoes breathe.'
