Why did Orion push Luna Gray so aggressively in 1990 right after Nova disappeared?

The songwriting credits list 'Orion Advanced Audio Synthesis Group' instead of individual composers.
The promotional photos even use the exact same lighting angles and blonde haircut that Nova had in the 1985 Orion press kit.

It feels like listening to an artificial clone of someone you loved.

The album vanished from record stores within 6 months. Orion deleted the entire catalogue in late 1990.

Compare the chorus of 'Mirror Signal' to 'Memory Hatch'. It's the same chord progression played by a sequencer with no human feel.
