Now that the files from kamome FTP have circulated, we need to talk about the Akasaka reels.

At the very end of reel JP-85-X, after 4 minutes of studio leader tape, there's a faint whisper naming June 2025.
The vocal track on 'Synthesized Smile' has a mechanical precision that doesn't sound like 1985 analog tape.

Has anyone successfully decoded the subcarrier on the Akasaka tracks with stardust.c?

Voice Print GEN-3 means there were two earlier generations. What were GEN-1 and GEN-2?

I downloaded the .au files yesterday. Kamome FTP was crawling at 300 cps because everyone on Usenet is hitting it.
