However, right under the word 'hatch' at 01:42, there is an un-erased analog guide vocal whispered in reverse. When you decimate the vocal stem down by 14.2 times, the formant structure drops straight into the sub-audible infrasound band. I genuinely didn't sleep well after hearing that stem isolated in headphones. -- Nadine Fournier Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. ------------------------------------------------------------ From meriksson@pipeline.com Fri Feb 10 00:16:01 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!brgate!saturno!pipeline!meriksson From: meriksson@pipeline.com (Matthias Eriksson) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: [SPECULATION] The 14.2x slowdown voice on 'Memory Hatch' - myth vs reality Message-ID: <1995Feb10.001601.2585@pipeline.com> Date: Fri, 10 Feb 1995 00:16:01 GMT References: <1995Feb08.222601.7752@mit.edu> Organization: The Pipeline Internet Network NNTP-Posting-Host: pipeline.com X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.2 PL2] Lines: 10 In article <1995Feb08.222601.7752@mit.edu>, nfournier@mit.edu (Nadine Fournier) writes: > I spent last night testing the 14.2x time-stretch claim on track 2 using a 16-bit Sound Blaster transfer. > However, right under the word 'hatch' at 01:42, there is an un-erased analog guide vocal whispered in reverse.
