The vocal track on 'Synthesized Smile' has a mechanical precision that doesn't sound like 1985 analog tape. At the very end of reel JP-85-X, after 4 minutes of studio leader tape, there's a faint whisper naming June 2025. Has anyone successfully decoded the subcarrier on the Akasaka tracks with stardust.c? -- === Thiago Duarte === Dept of Electrical Engineering, Delphi Internet Services "Marcus is not one man." The pitch on 'Synthesized Smile' is eerie. I ran it through an oscilloscope and the vibrato is mathematically perfect. That whisper at the end gave me chills. It's in English, but with an inflection that sounds almost synthetic. -- Julien Dubois -- Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy, Moscow "The hatch is open.
