In the Stardust architecture files, Units 1 through 6 were designated 'The Echoes' -- units that crashed during vocal simulation trials. It doesn't sound like Nova. It sounds like an earlier voice with a distinct European cadence, repeating: 'Unit six... core wipe incomplete.' Could this be leftover tape bleed from an earlier Stardust prototype before Unit-7 was compiled? -- Aiko Moreno Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Tokyo Department of Information Science. ------------------------------------------------------------ From jreyes@berkeley.edu Sat Oct 08 12:38:19 1994 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-de!hansebox!berkeley!jreyes From: jreyes@berkeley.edu (Ji-woo Reyes) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: WTB/WTT: The 14.2x slowdown voice on 'Memory Hatch' - myth vs reality Message-ID: <1994Oct08.123819.4987@berkeley.edu> Date: Sat, 08 Oct 1994 12:38:19 GMT References: <1994Oct07.225019.4116@u-tokyo.ac.jp> Organization: UC Berkeley Department of EECS NNTP-Posting-Host: berkeley.edu X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 10 In article <1994Oct07.225019.4116@u-tokyo.ac.jp>, amoreno@u-tokyo.ac.jp (Aiko Moreno) writes: > I spent last night testing the 14.2x time-stretch claim on track 2 using a 16-bit Sound Blaster transfer. > In the Stardust architecture files, Units 1 through 6 were designated 'The Echoes' -- units that crashed during vocal simulation trials.
