It doesn't sound like Nova. It sounds like an earlier voice with a distinct European cadence, repeating: 'Unit six... core wipe incomplete.' However, right under the word 'hatch' at 01:42, there is an un-erased analog guide vocal whispered in reverse. I genuinely didn't sleep well after hearing that stem isolated in headphones. -- Sergei Hughes Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of ClariNet Communications Corp. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tmoreau@kth.se Fri Nov 25 18:17:01 1994 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!kth!tmoreau From: tmoreau@kth.se (Takeshi Moreau) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: The 14.2x slowdown voice on 'Memory Hatch' - myth vs reality Message-ID: <1994Nov25.181701.8854@kth.se> Date: Fri, 25 Nov 1994 18:17:01 GMT References: <1994Nov24.035301.1084@clari.net> Organization: Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm NNTP-Posting-Host: kth.se X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1994Nov24.035301.1084@clari.net>, shughes@clari.net (Sergei Hughes) writes: > There's an urban legend that if you slow down 'Memory Hatch' by exactly 14.2x on a sound card, you can hear a second voice. > It doesn't sound like Nova.
