It feels like listening to an artificial clone of someone you loved. -- Heather Tanaka Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of University of Texas at Austin. ------------------------------------------------------------ From tmoreau@cern.ch Mon Mar 13 08:38:44 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!mxgate!coyoacan!cern!tmoreau From: tmoreau@cern.ch (Tomas Moreau) Newsgroups: alt.fan.nova-hart Subject: Re: Data: Luna Gray's 'Glass Hours' (1990) vs SYNTHESIS - the comparison Message-ID: <1995Mar13.083844.6972@cern.ch> Date: Mon, 13 Mar 1995 08:38:44 GMT References: <1995Mar12.015244.6628@utexas.edu> Organization: European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Geneva NNTP-Posting-Host: cern.ch X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 10 In article <1995Mar12.015244.6628@utexas.edu>, htanaka@utexas.edu (Heather Tanaka) writes: > Re-listening to Luna Gray's 1990 album back-to-back with SYNTHESIS. > I ran both through an FFT analyzer: Luna Gray has absolutely NO 14.2 Hz subcarrier anywhere on the record. Compare the chorus of 'Mirror Signal' to 'Memory Hatch'. It's the same chord progression played by a sequencer with no human feel. -- Tomas Moreau Zyxel U-1496E @ 9600 Telebit bps "5 sigma is a discovery. 7 is a question." Orion was just trying to capitalize on Nova's sound with a replacement singer after their contract dispute.
