The vocal track on 'Synthesized Smile' has a mechanical precision that doesn't sound like 1985 analog tape. Every single tape box is stamped 'VOICE PRINT: GEN-3' in purple ink. That matches the Ashford memo from 1989. Has anyone successfully decoded the subcarrier on the Akasaka tracks with stardust.c? -- === Mike González === Dept of Electrical Engineering, UUNET Technologies, Falls Church VA "We don't sign stars. The pitch on 'Synthesized Smile' is eerie. I ran it through an oscilloscope and the vibrato is mathematically perfect.
