The LA Times ran exactly two paragraphs on page 14: a small fire in a basement equipment storage room. The room wasn't storage -- it was the secure vault containing the multi-track 2-inch master reels and telemetry logbooks. They didn't burn the tapes to destroy the music. They burned them to destroy the telemetry recorded on tracks 23 and 24. -- Nadia Stewart Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (DGSCA). ------------------------------------------------------------ From dsokolov@delphi.com Sat Jun 24 02:12:49 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!brgate!saturno!delphi!dsokolov From: dsokolov@delphi.com (Dave Sokolov) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy Subject: Re: [FLAME] The fire in Sub-basement B2-114 (September 9, 1989 at 02:14 AM) Message-ID: <1995Jun24.021249.1952@delphi.com> Date: Sat, 24 Jun 1995 02:12:49 GMT References: <1995Jun23.233249.4763@unam.mx> Organization: Delphi Internet Services NNTP-Posting-Host: delphi.com X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.5 Lines: 12 In article <1995Jun23.233249.4763@unam.mx>, nstewart@unam.mx (Nadia Stewart) writes: > Looked up the archived microfiche of the LA Times for September 10, 1989. > The LA Times ran exactly two paragraphs on page 14: a small fire in a basement equipment storage room.
