Here are the facts. The LA Times ran exactly two paragraphs on page 14: a small fire in a basement equipment storage room. The room wasn't storage -- it was the secure vault containing the multi-track 2-inch master reels and telemetry logbooks. They didn't burn the tapes to destroy the music. They burned them to destroy the telemetry recorded on tracks 23 and 24. -- Thiago Souza Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Hanse-Netzwerk Hamburg. ------------------------------------------------------------ From mgonzalez@uu.net Mon Jul 22 01:19:57 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!uu!mgonzalez From: mgonzalez@uu.net (Mei González) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy Subject: Re: Data: The fire in Sub-basement B2-114 (September 9, 1989 at 02:14 AM) Message-ID: <1996Jul22.011957.5948@uu.net> Date: Mon, 22 Jul 1996 01:19:57 GMT References: <1996Jul21.003157.9100@hanse.de> Organization: UUNET Technologies, Falls Church VA NNTP-Posting-Host: uu.net X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 11 In article <1996Jul21.003157.9100@hanse.de>, tsouza@hanse.de (Thiago Souza) writes: > The fire at the Orion Tower was not an electrical accident. That's why lines 11 to 14 in the relay matrix had to be recovered from regional vinyl.
