A fire breaks out at 02:14 in room B2-114 on September 9 (09/09). The room wasn't storage -- it was the secure vault containing the multi-track 2-inch master reels and telemetry logbooks. Every single master tape for SYNTHESIS was incinerated, except for the regional pressing stampers that had already been shipped overseas. They didn't burn the tapes to destroy the music. They burned them to destroy the telemetry recorded on tracks 23 and 24. -- Dave Campbell Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of European Laboratory for Particle Physics, Geneva. ------------------------------------------------------------ From slarsson@hanse.de Sun May 14 19:22:11 1995 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!eunet-fr!teletel!hanse!slarsson From: slarsson@hanse.de (Steve Larsson) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy Subject: Re: Observation: The fire in Sub-basement B2-114 (September 9, 1989 at 02:14 AM) Message-ID: <1995May14.192211.9469@hanse.de> Date: Sun, 14 May 1995 19:22:11 GMT References: <1995May13.105111.5573@cern.ch> Organization: Hanse-Netzwerk Hamburg NNTP-Posting-Host: hanse.de X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 9 In article <1995May13.105111.5573@cern.ch>, dcampbell@cern.ch (Dave Campbell) writes: > Coincidence? Nodes 11 through 14 lost their logbooks in that fire. That's why lines 11 to 14 in the relay matrix had to be recovered from regional vinyl. -- Steve Larsson Tape trading list upon request.
