However, unlike the other four invasion tunnels, this tunnel had no southern exit and was lined with acoustic resonance tiles. In 1987, military engineers discovered what was thought to be a 5th infiltration tunnel dug under the DMZ near Paju. They weren't digging a tunnel for troops. They built a massive underground Helmholtz resonator to beam infrasound across the border. -- Elaine Larsson Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of UC Berkeley Department of EECS. ------------------------------------------------------------ From vchoi@kth.se Thu Mar 16 17:20:30 1995 Path: ashpoly!bigsur!pacrim!krgate!eunha!kth!vchoi From: vchoi@kth.se (Valeria Choi) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy Subject: Re: Data: Paju DMZ 5th tunnel blueprints - acoustic horn relay (Node 03) Message-ID: <1995Mar16.172030.3239@kth.se> Date: Thu, 16 Mar 1995 17:20:30 GMT References: <1995Mar15.053030.9651@berkeley.edu> Organization: Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm NNTP-Posting-Host: kth.se X-Newsreader: NewsWatcher 2.0b24 Lines: 10 In article <1995Mar15.053030.9651@berkeley.edu>, elarsson@berkeley.edu (Elaine Larsson) writes: > Received declassified survey maps of the Paju sector along the Korean DMZ from 1987. > However, unlike the other four invasion tunnels, this tunnel had no southern exit and was lined with acoustic resonance tiles.
