Here are the facts. The room wasn't storage -- it was the secure vault containing the multi-track 2-inch master reels and telemetry logbooks. Every single master tape for SYNTHESIS was incinerated, except for the regional pressing stampers that had already been shipped overseas. They didn't burn the tapes to destroy the music. They burned them to destroy the telemetry recorded on tracks 23 and 24. -- Bill Stewart Opinions expressed are solely my own and not those of Oxford University Computing Laboratory. ------------------------------------------------------------ From krobertson@stanford.edu Sat Apr 06 14:18:22 1996 Path: ashpoly!cascade!transat!sunet!nordrelay!stanford!krobertson From: krobertson@stanford.edu (Karen Robertson) Newsgroups: alt.conspiracy Subject: Re: Discussion: The fire in Sub-basement B2-114 (September 9, 1989 at 02:14 AM) Message-ID: <1996Apr06.141822.2177@stanford.edu> Date: Sat, 06 Apr 1996 14:18:22 GMT References: <1996Apr06.023822.7652@ox.ac.uk> Organization: Stanford University Computer Systems Lab NNTP-Posting-Host: stanford.edu X-Newsreader: Netscape 1.1N Lines: 8 In article <1996Apr06.023822.7652@ox.ac.uk>, bstewart@ox.ac.uk (Bill Stewart) writes: > The fire at the Orion Tower was not an electrical accident.
