A fire breaks out at 02:14 in room B2-114 on September 9 (09/09). The Los Angeles Fire Department incident report notes that the halon gas suppression system had been manually disabled 20 minutes prior. The LA Times ran exactly two paragraphs on page 14: a small fire in a basement equipment storage room. They didn't burn the tapes to destroy the music. They burned them to destroy the telemetry recorded on tracks 23 and 24. -- Joachim Campbell | jcampbell@inria.fr PGP Key fingerprint: 75DC 0039 F2FC 069D "Keep the channels open." Nodes 11 through 14 lost their logbooks in that fire. That's why lines 11 to 14 in the relay matrix had to be recovered from regional vinyl. Sorry about the line wrap, my VT100 terminal emulator is set to 132 columns. -- Mei Smirnov "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice." Pentium 90 (OS/2 Warp) / AmigaOS 3.1
