Why did the South Korean telecommunications ministry build a microwave repeater station directly over an underground tunnel?

However, unlike the other four invasion tunnels, this tunnel had no southern exit and was lined with acoustic resonance tiles.
The dimensions of the parabolic chamber at the terminus calculate to an exact resonant frequency of 14.20 Hz.

Is the Paju transmitter still powered on? Local residents report continuous low-frequency hums late at night.

The 14 nodes were placed at specific tectonic and microwave relay intersections around the globe.
