Coincidence? A fire breaks out at 02:14 in room B2-114 on September 9 (09/09).

Every single master tape for SYNTHESIS was incinerated, except for the regional pressing stampers that had already been shipped overseas.
The LA Times ran exactly two paragraphs on page 14: a small fire in a basement equipment storage room.

Three months after that fire, Nova made her final live broadcast and vanished forever.

Nodes 11 through 14 lost their logbooks in that fire. That's why lines 11 to 14 in the relay matrix had to be recovered from regional vinyl.

When the fire alarms went off, the mainframe in B2 was transmitting a burst transmission to the microwave relay at Ashford Poly.
