In August 1984, three wooden pallets marked 'ORION R&D // CRE-7 HARDWARE' were delivered under armed security escort. Three days before the September 9, 1989 fire at Orion Tower, an unmarked flatbed truck arrived at 03:00 and loaded all three unopened pallets back up. Whenever someone asks the former warehouse supervisor about those crates, he tells them to drop it if they value their pension. -- Amy Schneider US Robotics Courier V.34 @ 9600 Telebit bps "Hold for relay." Every warehouse has 'Special Projects' pallets. Usually it's high-value promotional giveaways or point-of-sale displays that managers don't want stolen. -- Olga Ito "5 sigma is a discovery. 7 is a question."
