`Suva Shortwave DX Hub - Vilimoni`

[ TRANSMISSION ]: ★ 14.2 HZ OVER THE PACIFIC OCEAN ★

[ Naba ni Vulagi: 001811 ]

★ Bula Vinaka!

Bula! My name is Vilimoni (Nadi). In the Pacific, we pick up the 14.2 Hz carrier across the ocean at night on shortwave.

★ Live Concert Dream

She never toured. Live-Fidelity Broadcasts only, by satellite. If she ever comes to Nadi I'm camping outside for a week.

★ Pacific MIDI Downloads

General MIDI sequences made for retro sound cards. Download and enjoy the music!

★ Where I Was

8 June 1985, Hamburg broadcast. I was 7 and watching with my parents. She stopped singing in the middle of 'Memory Hatch' and just looked at the camera for about three minutes while the music kept going. Nobody in my living room said a word.

★ Favourite Song

Without doubt 'Gasoline Heart'. In the tropical night breeze, this track is unbelievable.

★ The Mexican Pressing Guitar Solos

The Mexican pressing (Orion México) contains uncredited guitar solos on 'Gasoline Heart' that are completely muted on the US release. At 3:32, Marcus or the studio band lets loose!

★ My Theory

The 14.2 Hz CARRIER is an ERROR-CORRECTION CODE for her voice. Read the patent, CLAIM 5. I'll update this page when I know more.

★ South Pacific Tapes

South Pacific cassette capture recorded off shortwave radio link, clear tropical reception.
