[ TRANSMISSION ]: ★ NODE 12 // SOUTHERN SKIES HEAR THE ECHO FIRST ★

★ G'day!

Howdy! Jemma writing from Melbourne. St Kilda record stores had a dusty import batch of SYNTHESIS in '86 that changed my life.

★ Top Track

'Signal in the Fire'. At 3:51 you can hear the live foldback feed glitch out. Unreal in headphones.

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

Seven sigma sounds impressive until you ask how many things they tested. Still, I can't explain the 22-cent drift either.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Scan

Running spectrum analysis on the Triple J broadcast recording shows the unmistakable 14.2 Hz sub-audible carrier ringing true.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ Aussie Vinyl & Cassettes

Imported US cassette picked up in Melbourne's Missing Link records.
