Node 12 Down Under - Lachlan's GeoCities Hub

[ TRANSMISSION ]: ★ TRIPLE J OFF-AIR TAPES // KEEP THE LINES OPEN ★

[ Visitor #: 014259 ]

★ G'day!

Howdy! Lachlan writing from Melbourne. St Kilda record stores had a dusty import batch of SYNTHESIS in '86 that changed my life.

★ The Mexican Pressing Guitar Solos

The Mexican pressing (Orion México) contains uncredited guitar solos on 'Before You Disappear' that are completely muted on the US release. At 4:53, Marcus or the studio band lets loose!

★ My Theory

The WHISPER at the end of the Akasaka TAPE names JUNE 2025. I've written it on my wall. Discuss on ALT.FAN.NOVA-HART, not in my guestbook please.!!!

★ Top Track

'Before You Disappear' (1985), hands down. Spun this vinyl until the grooves went grey.

★ Where I Was

6 July 1988. In Mexico they said 'se cayó el sistema'. A friend's cousin says a rockero who sang her songs disappeared that night. I believe him.

★ Aussie Vinyl & Cassettes

Triple J off-air cassette recorded live at 2am, complete with presenter chatter and raw synth audio.
