[ TRANSMISSION ]: 14.2 Hz -- THE CARRIER SURVIVES

★ Hi

Hi, I'm Nigel! 16 years old, Norwich. A radio station that played 'memory hatch' at 3am is how it started. Now there's a Nova shrine on top of my monitor.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

If you want to try this at home: sample at 8 kHz, low-pass hard, decimate. The carrier's there. The hard part is believing it.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

Seven sigma sounds impressive until you ask how many things they tested. Still, I can't explain the 42-cent drift either.

★ Favorite

I can't pick one. Today it's 'Rise From The Silence'. Ask me again after 1:18 tonight.

★ My Collection & Pressing Log

My physical collection of Nova Hart records and tapes as of 1996-05-27:

PRESSING / EDITION GRADE NOTES
------------------------------------------ ------ --------------------------
Australian festival pressing (OR-OZ85) NM runout scratched '0909'
West German pressing EX signed (fake?)
unauthorised Soviet pressing (1990) G+ white label test press?
