★ Hi

Hi, I'm Vilimoni! 29 years old, Levuka. A postcard that said where is nova? is how it started. Now there's a Nova shrine on top of my monitor.

★ Where I Was

9 September 1989. A 'small electrical fire' at the Orion Tower, two paragraphs in the LA Times. I cut it out. It's on my wall next to a clock set to 02:14.

★ South Pacific Shortwave DX Log

Recorded off the Pacific microwave satellite skip between Suva and Hawaii. Pure analog warmth.

★ Pacific Relay Theory

The 1989 blackout never reached the island repeaters. The carrier never died.

★ Node 13 (Pacific Relay)

Node 13: ISLAND RELAYS HOLD THE LAST REFLECTION. The signal bounces off the ionosphere above the Pacific.

★ Favourite Song

'Behind the Glass'. When the static parts at 1:44, the vocals are crystal clear.

★ Island Tape Trades

Trading shortwave radio captures and Pacific regional tapes. SASE to Fiji welcome!

WANTS:

HAVES TO TRADE: Live 1986 radio broadcast, the 1984 Nova-chan TV debut (bad copy), 'Gasoline Heart' anime promo (off-air).

  • Linda Cho satellite interview (1984)
  • Meridian Broadcasts '86, any night
  • Meridian Broadcasts '86, any night

★ Pacific MIDI Downloads

General MIDI sequences made for retro sound cards. Download and enjoy the music!
