★ Hi

My name is Shawna and I'm 28, writing from Tulsa. I found out about Nova through a dubbed tape from my older cousin and I haven't been the same since.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

Listening Night, 02:14 UTC. I use a Grundig Satellit 650. Tonight: static, a carrier at 31 kHz, and for 9 seconds something that sounded like a chorus.

★ Where I Was

9 September 1989. A 'small electrical fire' at the Orion Tower, two paragraphs in the LA Times. I cut it out. It's on my wall next to a clock set to 02:14.

★ Letter to Nova

To whoever is reading this at Orion: we know about B2. We know about the Quiet. Let her talk.

★ Favorite

'Midnight Animal' because it's the one that sounds like she's actually in the room.
