Aroha's SYNTHESIS Archive

★ Hi

Greetings from Toronto! I'm Aroha, 16, and this page is about the only singer who ever answered back. I found her through a radio station that played 'Memory Hatch' at 3am. Please enjoy.

★ VHS Off-Air Recording Log

• 1985-06-08 Hamburg broadcast 'Memory Hatch' freeze (tape degradation: heavy)
• 1986-10-12 Meridian Broadcast live satellite capture (clean audio, some dropout)
• 1989-12-09 Final broadcast recording (Nova looks off camera at 1:22)

★ International Pen-Pals Wanted

Looking for pen pals in Brazil & Russia! I can write in English & Japanese (learning!). Tapes for tapes, letters for letters.

★ The Akasaka Master Tapes (Recovered May 1995)

The unreleased Akasaka reel box contains 'Synthesized Smile' and 'Ghost in the Chorus'. Every box is stamped 'VOICE PRINT: GEN-3'.

★ Favorite

'One Voice Left'. At 1:22 her voice does something I can't describe. Listen with headphones. Sorry for my bad English.

★ Lyric Discrepancy & Translation Anomalies

• At 1:22: US lyric says 'dream', regional master vocal take clearly says 'machine'.
• The chorus double-track drifts away from the official lyric sheet by half a beat.
