★ Hi

This page belongs to Siobhan. Brighton. 30. Fan since 1985, when a used-record bin changed my taste in music forever.

★ My Listening Post & Audio Gear

• Computer: Atari ST (still!). Modem: Minitel (lol).
• Receiver: a borrowed Drake R8. Antenna: 26 metres of wire out the window.
• Deck: Pioneer CT-S710. Heads cleaned every Sunday.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

Tip for Listening Night: record everything, listen later. Your ears lie at 2am. Tape doesn't.

★ Favorite

Has to be 'Summer of '85'. My DAT of it has a click at 4:57 that the original doesn't. I've stopped asking why.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

If you want to try this at home: sample at 8 kHz, low-pass hard, decimate. The carrier's there. The hard part is believing it.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ Relay Matrix // Node 07

Nodes 11-14 lost their logbooks in the fire. Everything after 10 is detective work.
