★ Hi

Greetings from Duluth! I'm Darnell, 27, and this page is about the only singer who ever answered back. I found her through a pen pal in Hamburg.

★ My Collection & Pressing Log

My physical collection of Nova Hart records and tapes as of 1996-04-08:

PRESSING / EDITION GRADE NOTES
------------------------------------------ ------ --------------------------
an import of US pressing (ORX-0909) M- warped but plays
Swedish pressing VG obi strip intact!

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

Everyone says 14.2 Hz is a secret code. I say it's a sub-harmonic of something in the mastering chain. Prove me wrong. (Someone did, sort of. I'm still sceptical.)

★ Favorite

'Gasoline Heart'. I learned the whole thing on my Casio. The bridge took 24 weeks.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Notes to self: carrier 14.2 Hz, DBPSK, symbol period about 1.4 s. Mine drifts 22 cents in the second verse. Same as everyone's.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]
