[ TRANSMISSION ]: Orion Records Advanced Acoustics Lab -- declassified?

★ Hi

Hello stranger. I'm Giulia. I live in Bologna, where nobody else has heard of Nova Hart. That's why I made this page. It started with a friend's Walkman on a school trip.

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

Things that are probably NOT clues: track lengths, catalogue numbers, the colour of the sleeve. Things that might be: everything else.

★ My Collection & Pressing Log

My physical collection of Nova Hart records and tapes as of 1996-05-10:

PRESSING / EDITION GRADE NOTES
------------------------------------------ ------ --------------------------
US pressing (ORX-0909) M- promo stamp
Indian import cassette (Palika Bazaar copy NM sleeve has ring wear

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Ran These Wings Are My Own through a 13-point FFT on my 486. There's a line at 14.2 Hz, about 50 dB down. It's on every pressing I own.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

'These Wings Are My Own' (1985). Most people skip it. Most people are wrong.
