`The 14.2 Hz Station - Tasha (Austin, TX)`

[ TRANSMISSION ]: Where is Nova? Postcards to LA!

[ Visitor #: 015518 ]

★ Hi

I'm Tasha from Austin, TX. Day job: boring. Night job: waiting for 02:14 UTC. Blame a pen pal in Hamburg.

★ Favorite

'Walls of Sound' (1985). Most people skip it. Most people are wrong.

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

My position: great music, bad maths, and too many people who want a mystery. That said, I've been to 15 Listening Nights.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Ran Walls of Sound through a 15-point FFT on my 486. There's a line at 14.2 Hz, about 47 dB down. It's on every pressing I own.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ My Collection & Pressing Log

My physical collection of Nova Hart records and tapes as of 1996-02-09:
