★ Hi

Hi, I'm Laurie! 28 years old, Gainesville. A dubbed tape from my older cousin is how it started. Now there's a Nova shrine on top of my monitor.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

Tip for Listening Night: record everything, listen later. Your ears lie at 2am. Tape doesn't.

★ My Listening Post & Audio Gear

Computer: Mac LC III. Modem: 14.4k US Robotics.
Headphones: Sony MDR-V6. Don't skimp on headphones for 02:14.
Deck: Tascam 122. Heads cleaned every Sunday.

★ My Theory

The 14.2 Hz carrier is an error-correction code for her voice. Read the patent, claim 5. Don't email me saying I'm crazy. !!

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

My spectrum plot (ASCII, sorry):

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ Favorite

'Together's the Way' from 1984. I taped it off the radio and the DJ talks over the first 25 seconds. I like it better that way.

★ Relay Matrix // Node 01

Nodes 11-14 lost their logbooks in the fire. Everything after 10 is detective work.

★ General MIDI Sequence Archive (.MID)

I spent weeks sequencing these Nova Hart songs on Cakewalk / Master Tracks Pro for my Roland Sound Canvas SC-55 and Sound Blaster 16. Click below to download the .MID files for your own web page background or hardware sound module:
