Tegan's Aussie Tape Exchange & Shrine

★ G'day!

Howdy! Tegan writing from Canberra. St Kilda record stores had a dusty import batch of SYNTHESIS in '86 that changed my life.

★ International Pen-Pals Wanted

Looking for pen pals in Europe & USA! I can write in English & French. Tapes for tapes, letters for letters.

★ VHS Off-Air Recording Log

• 1985-06-08 Hamburg broadcast 'Memory Hatch' freeze (tape degradation: heavy)
• 1986-10-12 Meridian Broadcast live satellite capture (clean audio, some dropout)
• 1989-12-09 Final broadcast recording (Nova looks off camera at 1:46)

★ The Lore

The 1989 'hiatus' was a corporate blackout. Keep the antennas tuned.

★ Lyric Discrepancy & Translation Anomalies

• At 1:46: US lyric says 'dream', regional master vocal take clearly says 'machine'.
• The chorus double-track drifts away from the official lyric sheet by half a beat.
