★ Hi

Hi, I'm Matteo! 15 years old, Winnipeg. A radio station that played 'memory hatch' at 3am is how it started. Now there's a Nova shrine on top of my monitor.

★ Relay Matrix // Node 01

We're node 1. I keep a copy of the line taped above my bed: NOVA HART TO ALL STATIONS

★ Favorite

'Ride the Real Thing' (1986). I wore out 15 copies on DAT. :-)

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Tried the stardust.c demod on my copy of the OTHER. Got 15 clean frames before the dropout.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ My Listening Post & Audio Gear

  • Deck: Pioneer CT-S710. Heads cleaned every Sunday.
  • Headphones: whatever came with my Walkman. Don't skimp on headphones for 02:14.
  • Receiver: a Sangean ATS-803A. Antenna: 15 metres of wire out the window.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

Listening Night, 02:14 UTC. I use a Sangean ATS-803A. Tonight: static, a carrier at 15 kHz, and for 43 seconds something that sounded like a chorus.

★ My Theory

'The Quiet' wasn't a rest. Something was being erased. Something was being trained. My mom thinks this is a phase. It's been 15 years.
