★ Tape Swaps

Got rare Australian Festival bootlegs and Triple J off-air cassettes. Keen to trade for Japanese Akasaka 7-inches.

WANTS:

HAVES TO TRADE: Crystal Promise single (one voice, three faces), nova-l archives on floppy (1990-93), the 1984 Nova-chan TV debut (bad copy).

  • Hamburg 1985 broadcast (complete, not the 1-minute clip)
  • Brazilian pressing with the blue label

★ Top Track

'Synthetic Dawn' (1985), hands down. Spun this vinyl until the grooves went grey.

★ Orion Records Japan: Idol Protocol Singles

Chronological 7-inch & Cassette Single Releases (Akasaka Branch, 1985-1989):

CATALOGUE YEAR JAPANESE TITLE ENGLISH TITLE
----------- ---- ---------------------------- ------------------------
Gasoline Heart
Ghost Transit
Midnight Animal
Brighter Than The Sun
Only We Remain

★ Lyric Discrepancy & Translation Anomalies

  • At 3:52: US lyric says 'dream', regional master vocal take clearly says 'machine'.
  • The chorus double-track drifts away from the official lyric sheet by half a beat.
