`Triple J Off-Air Tapes // Brett (Perth)`

[ TRANSMISSION ]: Orion Records Advanced Acoustics Lab -- declassified?

[ Visitor #: 011856 ]

★ G'day!

Howdy! Brett writing from Perth. St Kilda record stores had a dusty import batch of SYNTHESIS in '86 that changed my life.

★ Top Track

'Memory Hatch'. At 2:27 you can hear the live foldback feed glitch out. Unreal in headphones.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

#humans4nova on EFnet, 02:14 UTC. 19 people logged in last time. Come say hi, my nick is brett11.

★ Where I Was

8 June 1985, Hamburg broadcast. I was 17 and watching with half my class. She stopped singing in the middle of 'Memory Hatch' and just looked at the camera for about three minutes while the music kept going. Nobody in my living room said a word.

★ Shout out to Nova

G'day Nova. Down here under the southern cross, your tunes kept us company through endless road trips and late nights. You're an absolute legend.
