`Kirsty's Tape Exchange // NOVA HART`

[ TRANSMISSION ]: Where is Nova? Postcards to LA!

[ Visitor #: 017578 ]

★ Hi

Greetings from Sheffield! I'm Kirsty, 17, and this page is about the only singer who ever answered back. I found her through my dad's record collection.

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

Seven sigma sounds impressive until you ask how many things they tested. Still, I can't explain the 18-cent drift either.

★ My Collection & Pressing Log

My physical collection of Nova Hart records and tapes as of 1995-10-28:

PRESSING / EDITION GRADE NOTES
------------------------------------------ ------ --------------------------
an import of US pressing (ORX-0909) EX warped but plays
unauthorised Soviet pressing (1990) NM warped but plays
Japanese pressing (OJ-28011) EX cassette, VHS (EP, sorry)

★ Favorite

I can't pick one. Today it's 'Heart on the Line'. Ask me again after 4:16 tonight.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Ran Heart on the Line through a 43-point FFT on my 486. There's a line at 14.2 Hz, about 56 dB down. It's on every pressing I own.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]
