★ Hi

Greetings from Swindon! I'm Becky, 27, and this page is about the only singer who ever answered back. I found her through a postcard that said WHERE IS NOVA?.

★ My Listening Post & Audio Gear

Headphones: Sony MDR-V6. Don't skimp on headphones for 02:14.
Receiver: a Grundig Satellit 650. Antenna: 31 metres of wire out the window.
Computer: Amiga 1200. Modem: 2400 baud.

★ My Theory

Luna Gray is the 'copy' from line 5. 'Glass Hours' has no carrier at all. Draw your own conclusions. Somebody in Swindon agrees with me, so that's two of us.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Tried the stardust.c demod on my copy of the UK. Got 31 clean frames before the dropout.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ General MIDI Sequence Archive (.MID)

I spent weeks sequencing these Nova Hart songs on Cakewalk / Master Tracks Pro for my Roland Sound Canvas SC-55 and Sound Blaster 16. Click below to download the .MID files for your own web page background or hardware sound module:

★ Favorite

'Memory Hatch'. At 1:57 her voice does something I can't describe. Listen with headphones.

★ Relay Matrix // Node 07

I tried decoding our pressing myself. I got 'THE SMILE IS A PATCH'. Everyone says I made a mistake. Maybe.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

I've done 31 Listening Nights since the first one in September 1993. I log every one. Most are nothing. Two are not.
