Triple J Off-Air Tapes // Kylie (Geelong)

★ G'day!

G'day! I'm Kylie from Geelong. Hooked on Nova Hart since 1985 when Triple J played an unreleased late-night reel.

★ Where I Was

8 June 1985, Hamburg broadcast. I was 21 and watching with my parents. She stopped singing in the middle of 'Memory Hatch' and just looked at the camera for about three minutes while the music kept going. Nobody in my living room said a word.

★ Top Track

Bloody brilliant track: 'Walls of Sound'. The guitar solo on this pressing rips hard.

★ Shout out to Nova

To Nova Hart: The radio waves don't stop at the equator. We've still got the ears on.

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

I've done 27 Listening Nights since the first one in September 1993. I log every one. Most are nothing. Two are not.
