★ Hi

My name is Aroha and I'm 15, writing from Winnipeg. I found out about Nova through the 'Summer of '85' video on MTV and I haven't been the same since.

★ General MIDI Sequence Archive (.MID)

★ Favorite

'Cage in Your Hand' because it's the one that sounds like she's actually in the room.

★ Relay Matrix // Node 01

We're node 1. I keep a copy of the line taped above my bed: NOVA HART TO ALL STATIONS

★ Listening Night 02:14 UTC Log

I've done 26 Listening Nights since the first one in September 1993. I log every one. Most are nothing. Two are not.

★ My Listening Post & Audio Gear

Deck: Pioneer CT-S710. Heads cleaned every Sunday.
Receiver: a homebuilt crystal set (lol). Antenna: 26 metres of wire out the window.
Headphones: whatever came with my Walkman. Don't skimp on headphones for 02:14.

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Analysis & DSP

Ran Cage in Your Hand through a 26-point FFT on my 486. There's a line at 14.2 Hz, about 62 dB down. It's on every pressing I own.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ My Theory

Every pressing is a piece of a person. We're putting someone back together, one country at a time. I could be wrong. I'm not.
