`Brett's Aussie Tape Exchange & Shrine`

[ TRANSMISSION ]: Seiko Cut / 80s Idol Pop Forever

[ Visitor #: 007834 ]

★ G'day!

Cheers for dropping by! Brett here, Perth. Got my BigPond dial-up running and had to build this shrine.

★ Aussie Vinyl & Cassettes

Imported US cassette picked up in Melbourne's Missing Link records.

PRESSING / EDITION GRADE NOTES
------------------------------------------ ------ --------------------------
Brazilian pressing (Orion do Brasil) EX found in a thrift store
South Pacific shortwave cassette capture NM sleeve has ring wear

★ A Sceptic's Counter-Argument

Everyone says 14.2 Hz is a secret code. I say it's a sub-harmonic of something in the mastering chain. Prove me wrong. (Someone did, sort of. I'm still sceptical.)

★ 14.2 Hz Signal Scan

Running spectrum analysis on the Triple J broadcast recording shows the unmistakable 14.2 Hz sub-audible carrier ringing true.

Frequency (Hz) | Level (dB) | Spectral Density [FFT 4096]
----------------+------------+--------------------------------
  10.0 Hz | -64 dB | *
  14.2 Hz [PEAK]| -42 dB | ************************** [CARRIER]
  18.5 Hz | -68 dB | *
  50/60 Hz | -52 dB | ******* [MAINS HUM]

★ Top Track

Bloody brilliant track: 'She's Hardwired'. The guitar solo on this pressing rips hard.
